A Partner at Barratts, Ed has 30 years’ experience helping clients with brain injury to achieve their full potential. As Barratt’s lead solicitor on Headway’s approved list, his depth of knowledge means that clients receive early specialist advice about their case, including the importance of early payments to help clients with housing, equipment and rehabilitation.

Ed’s support for brain injured clients extends beyond the office; he is the Chair of Trustees of Headway, Nottingham, helping families to cope with caring for a loved one who has suffered a brain injury, and is also regularly consulted by Headway National, the Brain Injury Association.

Ed is one of the very few solicitors in the country to hold specialist accreditation for both brain injury and spinal cord injury from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). The Legal 500 and Chambers directories, independent yearly publications, consistently recommend Ed for his brain injury work.

His clients include those injured at work, in a car accident or as a result of a criminal attack. Ed’s work also involves representation at coroners’ inquests, and he sits part time as a Mental Health Tribunal Judge. Nearly all of Ed’s clients are personally recommended, a testament to his dedication to getting the very best for a Brain Injured client.
