I qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and joined Colemans-ctts in 2001. I became a partner and Head of the Serious Personal Injury Department across offices in Kingston and Manchester, specialising in brain injury, spinal cord injury and severe psychological injury.

I act for a wide range of brain injury clients young and old, with mild subtle brain injuries up to severe and complex brain injuries. Many of my clients have been knocked down or acquired their injuries as a result of car accidents, motorbike accidents or cycling.

I strongly believe in the need for early rehabilitation intervention to help clients maximise their potential. I work closely with a network of medical experts, specialist brain injury case managers and care experts to assist clients and their families with issues such as accommodation, transport, mobility, rehabilitation, education and employment, financial affairs and welfare benefits.

I would pride myself on being very personal with my clients and I always meet my clients and get to know them very well. I always make sure they understand every part of the process, alleviate their worries as much as possible and will fight until the bitter end to make sure they receive the rewards they deserve.

I am a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and regularly attend brain injury talks and seminars held by APIL’s Brain Injury Specialist Interest Group. In addition I am a member of ABIL (Acquired Brain Injury London).

Outside of work I became a voluntary Trustee for Headway South West London in 2011. This role covers a multitude of duties including fundraising and developing their carer support group because we see a big gap in the south west of London for carers who are often a spouse or parent. I have also provided articles for Kensington and Chelsea Carers magazine on the subject of criminal injuries, to help carers understand the support services that are available to them if they have been a victim of crime, and for Disability Review Magazine. I’m also on the editorial board of B21, a brand new Brain Injury Magazine.

On behalf of Headway South West London, I give talks to local multi-disciplinary neuro rehab teams to raise awareness of Headway’s services for brain injured people and their loved ones. Our members have a wide variety of complex needs ranging from deficits in speech and language and mobility, cognitive problems, personality and emotional difficulties and fatigue. We support members in the early stages of their brain injury journey as well as those who are many years down the line. Consequently, this role provides me with a better understanding of the immediate and long term concerns and issues that face brain injured individuals and their loved ones.

Colemans-ctts support The Children’s Trust, UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. I head up the activities for this charity and helped organise and took part in sky dives, runs, cycling events and many other activities to raise money for children with brain injury.

I am very happy to speak to anyone who is thinking about bringing a claim or has a family member who has been injured. Contact me entirely free of obligation at claire.roantree@colemans-ctts.co.uk

Client Testimonial
“Ms Roantree’s professional conduct and work ethics were of the highest standards which also radiated down to her colleagues and their work with me. There was not an instant where I felt unhappy with her or her colleagues’ approaches and services provided. Extremely important also was that I developed immediate trust in her abilities which I perceive to stand at the pinnacle of the organisation she represents. I believe that at all times she was working in my best interests and in so doing held a high regard for my human rights including demonstrating that she and her organisation took equality and diversity, dignity and respect seriously. I would recommend Ms Roantree and her organisation to anyone needing legal representation for a personal injury claim because I have every confidence they would make a success of their claim like they have done for me.”
