A&M Bacon have a dedicated team of costs specialists, engaged solely in the preparation of bills of costs for all proceedings undertaken within the Court of Protection.
We draft bills for applications to appoint the property and affairs deputy, annual ongoing general management costs, statutory will applications, gifting applications, replacement of trustee applications and any other application where costs have been ordered to be paid from the Protected Party’s Estate.
We will work closely with you to ensure you feel fully supported throughout the assessment process. We will advise you on any issues to be addressed prior to assessment and can provide further advice following assessment in relation to the outcome and whether any aspects should be appealed. We offer a bespoke service adapted to best meet your firm’s needs.
In addition, we are always happy to attend your offices to discuss working practices and means by which you can improve your recoverability on your submitted bills and seek to ensure profitability is maximised. These can also be held remotely if preferred. Please do feel free to contact us to arrange an appointment.
We have many years’ experience in dealing with Court of Protection costs. We work for firms across the nation and it is this experience which enables us to monitor recovery rates, review trends of the costs officers at the SCCO and seek to advise clients on how to maximise their recovery on assessment.
We are always at the end of the telephone, happy to discuss any queries you may have, whether they relate to a specific matter or more generally. We are here to help you work smarter, not harder.
