Helping carers

We understand the impact of becoming a carer for a brain injured person, and we’re here to support you as much as them. Our national network of specialist solicitors, case workers and support service personnel work alongside carers and can offer financial, emotional and practical support.

Accessing services to support you

Beyond pursuing a claim or securing funding to pay for medical support, rehabilitation or home adaptations, we appreciate that a head injury can present many different types of problem for the whole family. Our panel of specialist solicitors has access to a full range of local services to support you including:

  • A family co-ordinator to assist in times of crisis
  • A case manager to carry out urgent initial needs assessment
  • Financial advisers to review and help manage any problems and investigate the potential to claim against existing insurances
  • Guidance in identifying and applying for welfare and benefits
  • A statutory funding advice service
  • Signposting local support services and organisations through our members and The Big Directory
