About Daniel Toop

Daniel specialises in supporting the litigation process, both in clinical negligence and personal injury claims, together with high value gift and complex Court of Protection applications, including the largest gift ever approved by the Court of Protection.

Daniel adopts a client-centric focus, empowering individuals and encouraging clients and their family to engage in the Deputyship process to maximise their independence. Daniel is highly experienced in establishing and the management of complex Deputyships with cross-jurisdictional elements, including Hong Kong, the Isle of Man and Hungary. He regularly represents the Deputy at conferences with Counsel and experts in the litigation process as well as attending Joint Settlement Meetings, with both internal and external clinical negligence and personal injury litigation lawyers.

Daniel acts as a Deputy and Professional Trustee in his own name and is also a director of PennTrust Ltd.

Daniel regularly attends the Court Users Group, held at the Court of Protection.
