David is one of the founding partners of Barratts Solicitors and has been handling personal injury claims for over 30 years, particularly those claims involving very serious injuries including spinal cord injury, brain injury and amputations.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is recognised by the Chambers guide to the legal profession and Legal 500 as being a leading individual in personal injury work. David is praised for his experience in personal injury claims, particularly in complex spinal cord cases. He is considered by clients to be “super sharp” and “on top of the law in cases,” and highly regarded for being “incredibly supportive, informative, knowledgeable and reassuring.”

David is described in Legal 500 as “one of the best in the country” and is the former Secretary of the Spinal Cord Injury Special Interest Group of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

In addition to obtaining compensation for clients, David takes an active part in the rehabilitation process and works closely with case managers, occupational therapists, medical practitioners, architects etc. to help maximise clients’ prospects for recovery and improve their quality of their life and environment following their serious injuries.

David continues to believe that clients with complex injuries deserve to have only experienced lawyers handling their cases.
