For the seventh year running, Brain Injury Group supported Brake’s Road Safety Week which ran from 19 to 25 November. This year’s theme was Bike Smart, providing information on keeping safe when out on a bicycle or motorcycle, as well as providing information to other road users about being aware of those on two wheels.

Road Safety Week 2018 banner

Twelve Brain Injury Group member firms and associates partnered with 15 schools across England, Scotland and Wales, to run a poster competition for 4,504 primary school children, asking them to think up ideas of cyclists can stay safe on our roads, and giving them the opportunity to design on paper their own cycle helmet.

Prizes were awarded during school assemblies to those children whose posters were judged to be the top three in the school.

We look forward to supporting Road Safety Week in 2019.

A selection of photos from the event are available in our Road Safety Week 2018 event gallery.

Choosing the right legal adviser

Find out more

A brain injury can change a person’s life significantly – and that of their family. Many injuries are unfortunately the responsibility of a third party, in which case there may be the potential to make a claim for compensation. A successful claim could go a long way towards supporting a rehabilitation programme, or providing long term care, or simply easing the financial burden caused by changed circumstances.

If you think you have a claim, speak to several lawyers and ask lots of questions before you instruct anyone; you need to find someone you can relate to. When you speak to any one of our network members, you can be confident that they have a track record of handling brain injury cases and appreciate all the complexities.
