We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Training Award at the Claims Management Awards 2017.

Initially developed as a key benefit for our law firm members, our learning and development programme has been extended in recent years to include professionals from all areas with one common interest – supporting individuals and families affected by brain injury.

Specialist training days take place at least three times a year; in 2017 we are delivering five events.  Typically, each event will feature five speakers and topics and address more than 60 delegates.  We deliver a broad agenda, and our speakers range from senior medics to QCs to academics and charities.  The purpose is to help our delegates keep abreast of the latest thinking, techniques and developments within the particularly complex field of brain injury to improve the support they can provide to their clients.

The programme, planned in collaboration with senior personal injury lawyers and a rehabilitation consultant, is widely praised by delegates.

The second strand to our training programme is a series of one-hour training sessions presented exclusively to member firms at their own premises by associate members of the Brain Injury Group that also have extensive experience in catastrophic injury cases.

“We have a reputation for delivering high quality training, and as that reputation has spread, so delegate numbers have grown,” says Sally Dunscombe, Director and founder of the Brain Injury Group.  “The events also represent great value for delegates.”

“The fact that we get such good speakers is testament to a lot of hard work and our sole focus on brain injury.  We really appreciate the recognition from the industry that comes with this nomination  and hope to lift that trophy on the night!”

Two of the Brain Injury Group’s associate members are also shortlisted for Associate Industries Team of the Year: Independent Living Solutions and Re:Cognition Health.
