Harry’s HAT is a small, national registered charity based in Hampshire.
It aims to improve the lives of all children with hydrocephalus and the families who love and care for them.
The charity, which is user-led, works to raise awareness of the condition, fund front-line workers to learn more about hydrocephalus and so improve patient care and it facilitates peer-to-peer support to help families affected by the condition feel less isolated.
The charity runs a number of campaigns, and one is their ‘Get-a-Head’ campaign. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of head circumference measurement in the first year of a baby’s life.
The charity has written a book called ‘Hydrocephalus: what I wish I’d known. The aim of the book is to provide a step-by-step guide for families whose child has just been diagnosed with the condition. The books are available to buy from their website.
