Operating across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and expanding into West Sussex, Headway Sussex supports people in their local community.
We aim to provide reassurance from the point of contact and give emotional support and practical advice for people affected by brain injury in all areas of our service. We support client members to rebuild their lives within their community so they can strive to maintain and improve everyday life for themselves and their family carers.
We like to focus on the future and wellbeing of our clients to help with relearning or gaining new skills towards finding a new hobby, meaningful occupation or work. We believe clients should be given choice and control through providing caring personal support to meet their individuals needs and achieve the best outcomes for their future.
Our team works with expert partners including our partner Counsellors and NHS and hospital teams. We can offer tailored programmes for rehabilitation with input from specialist partner therapists.
As well as working with expert partners, we invite clients to take part in our varied Living Well Programme for personal wellbeing. This includes individual support to achieve independence, tailored reablement and therapy, client and carer groups, social and relaxation opportunities, together with information and advice.
We are a listening organisation and welcome the views and opinions of all our client and Carer members.
