A charity leading innovation in mental health. We are the UK’s largest mental health charity, providing more services to the NHS than any other charity. We are committed to becoming a national centre of excellence and we are the first national teaching hospital outside the NHS.
The neuropsychiatry pathway at St Andrew’s is a specialist service delivering tailored care to support people with complex, acquired and progressive brain conditions.
Our neurological services deliver tailored care for patients with acquired brain injury, complex dementia and Huntington’s disease. By interweaving three therapeutic streams (Behavioural, Cognitive and Functional) we can reduce aggression and anti-therapeutic behaviour, and optimise engagement in recovery.
We manage complex physical and psychiatric needs from medium secure through to community-supported living. All services are delivered at the Northampton site and our MDT use a BioPsychoSocial matrix.
